Sales Manager Job Opening in Tempe, Arizona - Hotel Tempe/Phoenix Airport InnSuites Hotel & Suites is currently seeking a dynamic Sales Manager for our 160-room property near Arizona Mills Mall. The chosen candidate will maximize the potential of existing accounts and solicit new business while achieving and exceeding all revenue goals to include increased room nights, average rates and meeting rental. Maintain a positive relationship with clients and achieve complete guest satisfaction.

The Sales Manager is a key position within the hotel, responsible for acquiring and maintaining a solid base of customers while ensuring the hotels continued success and profitability. Candidates should enjoy the sales process, be driven, confident and focused on building great relationships with people.
Job description
Responsible for acquiring and maintaining a solid base of customers and for attaining a high occupancy and level of profitability.
Actively seek high revenue accounts and work to maintain a high level of business.
Provides all operations areas up-to-date information about promotions and specific accounts.
Follow the current property marketing plan and continue to develop a comprehensive marketing plan and annual sales forecast.
Solicit sales for the property through planned, outside sales calls, telephone solicitations, local trade and professional , travel agents, as well as other local and state organization that could result in potential business for the hotel and sister properties.
Responsible for third party requests, CVB bids, and Hotel Planner, RFP¹s etc.
Requirements:
Desired Skills and expertise
General knowledge of sales techniques and basic practices
Highly energetic and motivated individual
Must have strong sales skills, leadership skills a plus
3-5+ years of hotel sales experience preferred or a combination of schooling and sales experience.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with strong customer/client focus is essential.
Self-Starter with ability to work independently and as a team
Strong problem-solving skills
Excellent written communication skills - including reports in Microsoft word and Microsoft excel
Ability to clearly communicate, both orally and in writing.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, creative, high visibility high-pressure environment
Ability to shift and manage multiple priorities
Results driven focus and ability to work through to completion in a timely manner
Adaptable to change and ability to think outside the box?
Ability to perform combination of telemarketing, appointment and cold calls
Salary based on experience with solid bonus and full benefits.
