IT Advanced Application Developer Job Opening in Owatonna, Minnesota - Work Performed includes:
Broad understanding of business, applications and technologies.
Manage the full software development life cycle ? conception, requirements analysis, specification design, coding, acceptance, testing, implementation and training.
Implement all aspects of an application development ? performance, scalability, design, coding, caching mechanisms, security, encryption, state management, error logging, debugging, scalability, code reviews, development environment configuration, and testing. Ensure the best possible performance, quality and responsiveness of applications.
Evaluate existing applications for process efficiency, system integrity, security and data quality; redesign and replace selected application sub-systems as needed.
Develop and support applications for highly complex systems, which requires a thorough analysis of the business processes that these systems support and an in-depth understanding of client needs.
Develop project functional requirements giving consideration to feasibility, maintainability, security, integration, performance, capacity needs, business continuity, business needs, cost/benefit, impact to existing applications, and strategic direction.
Respond to system failures; analyze and resolve underlying problems.
Provide technical leadership on all size projects.
Develop and maintain documentation for applications and systems, programs, processes and operating instructions. Prepare and conduct system training when appropriate.
Knowledgeable of security policies and procedures and ensure they are followed at all times.
May be called upon to provide support for service issues or failures at any time. Vary or extend work schedule when required.

Minimum Qualifications:
Four year college degree in computer science or related field.
5+ years Microsoft based application development and implementation, databases and ecosystems
5+ years object oriented programming
3+ years C# and its ecosystems
Advanced knowledge of:
Enterprise software applications; Software engineering principles and practices; Software development life cycle; Database design and application techniques in a database environment; Programming languages, program development tools and operating systems
Advanced skill in:
Analyzing business processes and converting into system requirements; Improving solutions, systems and processes; Analysis, problem solving and troubleshooting; Technical documentation, including developing complex application requirements; Written and oral communication; Planning and organization; Customer service; Conveying technical information to non-technical users; Working with a variety of individuals from diverse backgrounds; Developing/ maintaining effective working relationships throughout the organization; Handling multiple competing and changing priorities, meeting deadlines;
