Senior Accountant Job Opening in Chicago, Illinois - Beacon Resources (in conjunction with our Real Estate client in Chicago, IL) seeks a dynamic Corporate Accountant to join an international corporation. You will be in the thick of performing month-end (M/E) closes within the G/L. You will make sure all reconciliations within the Balance Sheet are performed.
You will get to observe and learn from professionals even more senior than you. You will get to also perform analytical functions such as IFRS Conversions, Statutory Filings, tax restructuring, and even revenue recognition work.
You will gain even more exposure to various groups in the United States, the rest of North America, and internationally.
DUTIES OF THE CORPORATE ACCOUNTANT
Input month-end (M/E) journal entries
Perform month-end close accounting processes
Complete balance sheet reconciliations
Prepare variance analysis to budget
Perform monthly analysis of contracts for proper revenue recognition
Review all reconciliations
Assist with all audit requests made by the Internal Controls team and by external auditors
Provide necessary information for all statutory filings
Accept all other accounting duties as needed
QUALIFICATIONS OF THE CORPORATE ACCOUNTANT (REQUIRED)
Bachelor?s Degree in Administration or an Equivalent Major
At least three (3) years of work experience
Working competency with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
QUALIFICATIONS OF THE CORPORATE ACCOUNTANT (PREFERRED)
CPA
Public accounting experience
Strong technical accounting background
