Audit and Accounting Manager Job Opening in Chicago, Illinois - Pier & Associates, Ltd. in the West Loop of Chicago is expanding and looking to find smart, energetic, out of the box thinkers, experienced in Auditing and Accounting. Audit and Accounting Managers provide compliance and consulting to our clients, maintaining relationships with clients, working in a variety of industries and markets. You will be responsible for:
Assignments include large, complex audit and accounting engagements, usually assigned several engagements simultaneously.
Reviews work papers and financial statements.
Communicates directly with the client regarding the engagement.
Acts as liaison between the Partner, client and staff members
Coordinates engagement workflow.
Complies with pronouncements of professional and other regulatory groups.
Assumes full responsibility for audit, compilation, or review engagements and special assignments
Participating in audit and accounting business development for both new clients and existing clients, cultivating and strengthening our relationships
Assisting in practice initiatives; mentoring, training and business development and participation in our community service efforts
Qualifications :
At least five (5) years of experience in public accounting, demonstrating a progression in complexity, scope and number of engagements completed in audit and accounting.
Bachelor?s degree or Master?s degree in accounting or other related program. CPA
Proficiency in the use of computers and computer accounting and tax software programs.
Strong work ethic and good interpersonal skills.
Professional behavior and appearance.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Regular and consistent attendance.
Willingness to learn and be a team player.
Knowledge of CPA industry practices and requirements.
