Junior Staff Accountant-Accounts Receivable Job Opening in Austin, Texas - The HT Group is now hiring a Junior Staff Accountant-Accounts Receivable to join a great company in far Northwest Austin. This position is ideal for an Accounts Receivable Specialist looking to gain experience in GL Accounting. This position is temp-to-hire, with full benefits upon hire. This position requires an individual that can work effectively with various departments to ensure strict deadlines are met. The ideal candidate would be a self-starter who can ensure accurate and timely processing of accounts receivable and reconciliation of accounts.

Accounts Receivable Staff Accountant Responsibilities
Responsible for daily posting of cash receipts
Responsible for timely communication with carriers concerning insurance policy status
Process premium sweep from insured?s bank accounts
Process data
Daily remote deposit of checks received
Assist in the Commission Receivable Process
Works closely with Accounts Payable to ensure timely payment to insurance carriers
Balance sheet reconciliations for two insurance entities
Execute all other duties as assigned
Job Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Ability to read and interpret policy screens in the agency management system
Ability to work in a fast paced environment and multi task
Detail oriented, self-starter, and strong organizational skills
Exceptional problem solving, analytical, and technical skills
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Education & Experience
Experience with AMS360 a strong plus
Two (2) plus years of experience in Accounting
Bachelor?s degree in Accounting or Finance is necessary
P&C Insurance/Insurance Agency experience is a strong plus
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel and Word required)
Ability to utilize various software programs to maintain accurate records and generate reports
