Parts Counter Sales / 2nd Shift Job Opening in Cedar Rapids, Iowa - At GATR Truck Center, we believe in quality. From the trucks, truck parts and service we provide, to the people we employ. We currently have five locations throughout Minnesota and Iowa to service our customers, and are looking for a (2nd Shift) Parts Counter Sales Representative to join our growing Cedar Rapids Team.
The hours for this position will be 2nd Shift Monday ? Friday with rotating Saturdays.
The primary duties will include but not be limited to:
Ensure outstanding customer service
Maintain training path with guidance
Clean and organize parts shelves and storage areas as needed
Stock incoming parts. Maintain displays.
Communicate customer requests to management
Assist Outside Sales staff with applications and sales
Adhere to all GATR policies, procedures and practices
Locate parts
Order parts from local vendors
Order parts from major suppliers
Physical inventory as needed (I.E. cycle counting, spot checking)
Miscellaneous duties as assigned
Sell parts at assigned profit margins
Assist mechanics at shop window
Greet customers courteously
Maintain a clean and orderly appearance
Maintain uniform shirts
Adherence to GATR Policies and Procedures, Safety Guidelines, Environmental Regulations, Equipment Rules, and other applicable regulations.
Qualifications:
High School diploma or the equivalent.
Ability to comprehend instructions and information.
3 years of parts experience is preferred.
Professional personal appearance.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
PC proficiency, keyboarding skills and ability to process information through computer system.
Ability to multitask and adjust priorities quickly
Ability to cooperate, work and communicate with co-workers, supervisors and outside contacts.
Good planning and organizational skills
Attention to detail
Desire to further training and knowledge
