Position Summary: Under the general supervision of the Chief Application Officer in the Bureau of Information Technology Services (BITS), this position serves as the Senior Manager: IT Application Development responsible for overseeing and supervising KIDS mainframe system and Child Support web applications maintenance, support, enhancements, and new application development.
The incumbent must manage and direct the efforts of state employees, contractors and consultants, oversee cost estimates and proposed project budgets, oversee technical activities and plans that address the business needs of the department, and provide leadership to ensure and maximize customer satisfaction with IT services in the department.
This position must have extensive knowledge and skills in the following areas: Supervision, personnel issues, project management techniques and software development; analytical methods and theories; and a thorough understanding of the interrelationships among state agency functions, procedures and systems. The incumbent?s section is responsible for a wide range of IT services to the department, its partners and incumbent will participate in developing the department?s strategic information technology plan, as well as developing strategies and overseeing long range and short range plans for the KIDS Application Development Section staff.
This position frequently serves on inter-agency and agency committees and task forces. The incumbent supervises staff responsible for the critical mission of the agency and, as such, has widespread impact throughout the agency, government and private sector.

Qualifications:
