Reports To: Sales Manager
1.0Summary
Converts sales leads into clients through a process of analyzing customers needs, submitting job proposal for customer review, closing the sale, facilitating successful customer transition from sales to production, writes and facilitates change orders and ensures referral source retention and customer satisfaction via quality control process.
2.0Summary of Essential Duties and the following..
The Sales responsible for producing sales which meet produced gross profit margin objectives. He/she coordinates the sales process to see that service and quality objectives are fulfilled. He/she helps to manage the customers? experience with the company and its with and accept delegated tasks from SalesManager. Other duties may be assigned,that may or may not include the following: pick-up & delivery of materials, supplies, signs, etc. File & proof generation, follow-up on proofing with customers, lead generation activities which will include early morning or evening meetings.
3.0 Qualifications:

3.1Possess high School Diploma or equivalent
3.2Possess valid Washington Drivers License
3.3Minimum of three years experience in the position of Estimator for company of comparable size or
3.4Excellent communication skills, including ability to present and speak in public.
3.5Possess a comprehensive vocabulary.
3.6Ability to exercise integrity, at the moment of choice
3.7Ability to read, analyze and interpret job estimates and reports.
3.8Ability to think and reason strategically.
3.9Advanced computer skills including software, hardware, programs and application.
3.10Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, gross margin, mark up, commissions, percentages, area and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
3.11Ability to read and interpret documents such as Map reading, Safety rules, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak English effectively with customers, employees, or the public in general.
3.12Own or have access to late model vehicle in good condition. Proof of insurance and commercial use rider.

6.0SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
6.1The Estimator reports to the SalesManager.
6.2TheEstimator assists and accepts delegated tasks from the SalesManager and office manager.
7.0AUTHORITY: The Estimator has the authority and responsibility to develop, implement, and delegate all systems that will allow him/her to perform and enhance the day to day operations of his/her position. These include but are not limited to:
7.1Establish relationships with entities that are in a position to use or recommend company services, following company guidelines and requirements.
7.2Other activities necessary to maintain the effectiveness of his/her department within the constraints of prudent/ethical business practices and budget allowances.
7.3Enter into contracts with customers including collection of deposits and payments.
8.0 Responsibilities: A responsibility is an area you oversee and administrate. Often this includes delegating the task. The Production Manager, however, holds the accountability. This frequently involves setting up a system to see that the responsibility is fulfilled.
8.1Ensure all estimates produced reflect scope of work required by customer.
8.2Ensure sales goals are achieved.
8.3Ensure estimates written to achieve company gross profit goals
8.4Ensure necessary briefing with assigned Project Manager is completed for each job sold. 8.5Ensure all sales paperwork is organized and job progress is maintained so as to meet management and customer expectations.
8.6Ensure company adopted customer service principles are understood and implemented through the sales processes.
8.7Ensure all customers are satisfied with services performed
8.8Ensure all in-coming calls related to sales activities are responded to immediately and followed up promptly
8.9Ensure all authorizations are obtained prior to work beginning and proper procedures are followed when funds should be collected on jobs.
9.0Principle Duties:
9.1Keep a calendar of routine reports and activities that are to be completed.
9.2Participate in budgeting process by establishing accurate sales goals.
9.3Maintain acontact referral source file/database and evaluate the strengths and most advantageous alliances.
9.4See that all estimates are completed and approved by customer and paying party.
9.5Respond to all leads within 1 hour, on-site inspection within 24 hours or at customer?s convenience.
9.6Have all estimates produced and transmitted within forty-eight hours of inspection, or if not possible notify all related parties within 48 hours as to when estimates will be available.
9.7Completed job package ready to relay to production.
10.0Standards of Performance
10.1 All contracted jobs are completed and customers are satisfied.
10.2All sales paperwork is properly completed.
10.3All reports are in by due dates.
10.4All agreed sales goals are met.
10.5All produced gross profit goals are met.
10.6Attitudes and conduct reflects the professionalism of the position.
