Corporate Staff Accountant Job Opening in Troy, Michigan - Modern Dental Laboratory is a world-class, rapidly growing, global company with strong benefit packages and great long-term stability. We operate in 30 locations in North America as both MicroDental Laboratories and Modern Dental Laboratory USA. We are seeking a Staff Accountant to join our accounting team at our headquarters in Troy, Michigan.

Location: 500 Stephenson Highway, Troy, Michigan
Hours: Mon-Fri 8:30am ? 5pm
Pay: Commensurate with education and experience. Excellent Benefit package.
Primary Responsibilities:
Prepare and review financial statements for assigned locations
Create journal entries
Prepare balance sheet account reconciliations
Advise location management on financial results
Monitor and maintain strong internal controls
Prepare sales and miscellaneous tax returns
Prepare management reports and respond to requests for information
Reports to Accounting Manager
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Candidates should possess a B.S. or B.A. with a concentration in accounting.
Familiarity with enterprise class accounting systems
Ideal candidate will have at least two years of experience
Entry level candidates will also be considered based on academic achievement
Experience in multi-location environments desirable
Strong spreadsheet skills, familiarity with intermediate functions of Excel
Strong attention to detail; ability to perform duties with a high level of accuracy
Effective verbal and written communication skills and strong interpersonal skills
Discretion when dealing with sensitive or private information such as payroll, medical, human resources, and financial records
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
