Finance Project Manager Job Opening in Detroit, Michigan - As the Finance Project Manager, you will be responsible for the coordination and delivery of multiple Finance projects, developing cost benefit analyses for the program, communicating to an executive committee, creating and reporting program status utilizing a Excel and Financial reporting systems, allocating resources across the multiple projects, and defining project governance policies and managing the financial concerns of the program.
Primary Responsibilities:
Assist in project management for financial integration activities for acquired entities
Assist with development and documentation of financial processes and procedures for acquired entities
Manage activities to ensure projects are completed on time and within scope
Document project requirements, decisions and progress
Defining and implementing project management strategies to track status
Work independently and collaboratively performing accounting research, analyzing the data, and documenting the findings
Desired Qualifications:
Minimum 6 years of prior Accounting or Finance experience and 5 years Project management experience highly preferred
Ability to utilize and effectively communicate financial components of an initiative to applicable parties
Experience working with or within a government sector * Proficiency with Excel (Pivot Table and V-Lookup)
Experience creating, running, and utilizing Financial reports/systems
Ability and flexibility to meet time-sensitive deadlines
Education
Bachelor?s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
