Senior Staff Accountant Job Opening in North Hollywood, California - Bobrick currently has an opening for a Senior Staff Accountant . This position will handle full-cycle accounting and financial analysis for subsidiary(s). In addition, this position will work with the Controller to ensure accuracy of the financial records and statements for the assigned facility(s). Job Responsibilities
Preparation of monthly journal entries.
Preparation of monthly roll forwards and reconciliations of general ledger accounts.
Perform reconciliations, completes any adjusting journal entries necessary to correctly state the general ledger accounts.
Analysis of general ledger accounts for unusual variances and make corrections when necessary.
Provides explanations for actual to budget variances for assigned Executive(s) departments.
Assists division manager(s) of the assigned subsidiary during the annual budget process.
Preparation of audit and tax schedules for year-end.
Preparation of Financial Statements for the assigned
Performs an analysis of the subsidiary?s annual budget to ensure reasonableness.
Assists with quarterly review analysis, as needed.
Coordinates annual external audit to facilitate issuance of the year end audited statements.
Assists with ad hoc accounting and financial projects as requested.
Education and/or Experience
Bachelor?s degree (B.S.) in Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting, Finance or closely related field.
3-5 years of related experience.
Knowledge of US GAAP.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Must be able to work independently as well as in a team environment.
Experience in public and private industry is a plus.
Manufacturing industry is a plus.
Familiar with accounting for foreign currency transactions a plus.
