Summary :
International trade show firm, Leading Edge Expositions, seeks a Sales Representative responsible for selling a vast portfolio of trade shows through various mediums. This Sales Representative role will execute, launch, and close profitable sales deals related to trade show exhibit booth space, lucrative vendor sponsorships, and exciting trade advertisement amongst other sales opportunities. A background in sales and marketing is a plus in order to thrive in this fast-paced and innovative environment where a long-term and lucrative career can be developed.
Responsibilities:
Outbound calling and emailing to potential, new, and existing customers using a CRM
Respond to inbound inquiries from all customers
Nurture sales opportunities initiated from attendance at marketing/tradeshow events, data mining websites, trade journals, etc.
Ability to clearly define and process details as they relate to customization of our portfolio is essential
Help to maintain CRM databases with up-to-date information - confirm client contacts and sales activities in Mail Chimp
Availability to travel to face-to-face meetings with clients across the country to secure their exhibit space and/or sponsorships in our trade shows

Must be coachable, willing, and ready to form new work habits
Experience selling exhibit space, sponsorships, and/or advertisement space in a trade show environment or related equivalent field preferred
Ability to coordinate and implement sales activities based upon the Sales Marketing Plan
Outstanding organizational and time management skills
Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
Be a team player adding to a harmonious work environment
Excellent interpersonal skills required in dealing with varying levels of clients and prospects
Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Computer skills including Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook)
Proven and exceptional ability to create, manipulate, import, and export Excel spreadsheets
Ability to utilize the Internet to compile sales research and spark new business opportunities so as to thoroughly research prospects prior to first contact
Working knowledge of social media and how to leverage various platforms to help reach new and existing clients and to sell and close deals (Facebook, Pinterest, , Twitter, Instagram, Google+, etc.)
Working knowledge of one or more versions of a CRM
Willingness and ability to travel to numerous trade shows throughout the year
Work with the Sales Show Director, Sales, Marketing, Public Relations, and clients at venues during set-up and knockdown
Must hold a valid driver?s license
Valid passport to go on international travel for events and business
Education and Experience
BA/BS Degree in Communications, Marketing, or Business (or equivalent)
2+ years sales and/or marketing experience
Experience in managing a sales pipeline preferred
Experience in a consultative based sales environment preferred
Knowledge of mainstream and emerging cultures
