Job Description:
The Network Engineer will sell or assist in the sale of complex scientific and technological products or services to businesses. This person must have extensive knowledge of the products? parts and functions and must understand the processes that make these products work. The goal is to assist the sales team in making complex ideas and solutions seem simple. This person will work with the GC&E sales team and the customer on a ?pre-sale basis? to engineer the solution and work with the estimation department at arriving at the final solution and customer proposal. There will be times where this individual will work with the Operations Department on implementing the Scope of Work that was developed during the pre-sales time frame. There are additional responsibilities to include working with the Operations Department on setting standards and best work practices.
A Network Engineer specializes in technologically and scientifically advanced solutions primarily focused on enterprise physical security solutions. They will use their technical skills to explain the benefits of their products or services to potential customers.
Many of the duties of the Network Engineer are similar to those of other salespeople. They must interest the client in buying their products or services, negotiate a price, and complete the sale. To do this, the Network Engineer will be called upon to give technical presentations during which they explain the specific aspects of the product and how it will solve a particular customer?s problem.
The Network Engineer, who concentrates on the technical aspects of the job, will team with the sales people, who concentrate on marketing and selling our products and services. By working as part of a sales team, each member is able to focus on his or her strengths and expertise.
In addition to giving technical presentations, the Network Engineer will be doing other tasks related to sales, such as market research. They also may ask for technical requirements from customers and modify and adjust products to meet customers? specific needs.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Fundamental Understanding of Networks and Internet of Things.
Have a working knowledge of Wireless Networks ? Expertise with Equipment such as Firetide, Ubiquiti, SIKLU and Ruckus will be a definite plus
Design and Integrating of Access Control, Intrusion Detection and CCTV systems.
Responsible for software & headend equipment installation and turn up and commissioning.
Assisting Account Managers and Senior Management with customer service and client satisfaction and client retention
Assisting Project Managers and Operations Personnel with customer service and client satisfaction
Review outgoing proposals/estimates with Estimating / Operations Department to ensure accuracy and system integrity.
Provide on-going Development and Training of field and office support staff.
Conducts site surveys as required.
Conducts site visits and ongoing interaction with field technicians, management and customers to ensure successful system commissioning.
Ability to design and implement custom solutions per request.
Assist the Sales and Estimating team in the preparation of the technical presentations that explain products or services to customers and prospective customers
Confer with the customer / prospect and the Sales and Estimating team to assess equipment needs and to determine system requirements
Collaborate with the Sales and Estimating team to understand customer requirements and provide in-depth sales support
When required, plan and modify products to meet specific customer needs and desires
Help clients solve problems with installed equipment
Recommend materials or improved processes to customers, showing how changes will lower costs or increase production
Help in researching and developing new products and services for new and existing GC&E customers
Candidate Requirements:
Bachelor?s Degree in Business, Engineering or Construction Management preferred

Ability to creatively explain and present complex concepts in an easy to understand manner
Solid technical background with understanding and/or hands-on experience in software development and web technologies

High level of knowledge of system programming and administration in access control and IP based security systems
