We are seeking a Jr. Software Engineer. The individual will join a highly-skilled IT organization and utilize the latest technologies to develop high-traffic websites, web services, mobile applications, and other software products.
Responsibilities:
Provide production support on new and existing products utilizing the Microsoft technology stack: C# 5/6, MVC 5, Web API, Entity Framework, WCF, and SQL Server.
Work directly with developers, project leads and various business partners to understand and resolve issues.
Respond to production issues by conducting root cause analysis and identifying the underlying issue.
Suggest technical workarounds to critical issues which are in queue to be fixed/deployed.
Suggest and implement enhancements and fixes to prevent recurring issues.
Create a Knowledge Base of technical documents for new and existing applications.
Participate in a highly talented, experienced and energetic team on a fast-paced, agile development schedule.
Requirements:
1-2 years of development experience.
4 Year degree in Computer Science or similar field.
Solid understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) and computer science foundations, such as memory management and algorithm performance.
Understanding of SQL and ER database design.
Ability to write SQL Queries.
Familiarity with command line tools.
Ability to quickly learn new concepts and technologies.
Knowledge of processes and concepts like GitFlow, DevOps, Continuous Deployment, and Continuous Integration is a major plus.
Knowledge of one or more of 4 Framework, Visual Studio, C#, , WCF, MVC, Web API or is a plus.
Knowledge or Experience with an agile methodology.
Knowledge or Experience of Unit Testing.
Communication Skills
Ability to communicate thoughts and ideas in a clear and concise manner.
Able to explain complex technical issues and solutions.
Bonus Points
An appetite for learning.
Experience building applications (personal ?just for fun? experience counts) is a major plus.
An obsession with sports, music, movies, technology, or food.
