Area Sales Manager Job Opening in Raleigh, North carolina - Position Overview
The Area Sales Manager is a leadership position responsible for leading multiple retail locations and employees including Sales Consultants and Lead Sales Consultants. This position will manage 5 Boost Mobile retail locations. The position's focus will be on sales coaching and developing sales teams.
Key Responsibilities
Recruiting, hiring, training, developing and motivating top talent in order to maximize gross profit and key performance metrics in assigned area Delivering top notch results for all locations within assigned area Being the role model for store managers in all aspects the job and demonstrating a professional, high-performing, ethical image Being the face of the organization to internal and external partners
Detailed Responsibilities
Team Building: Build high-performing sales teams through the effective recruitment, orientation, training, development, motivation, coaching of store managers, wireless consultants and technicians.
Personal Leadership: Always lead by example.
Scheduling: Assist store managers in scheduling to ensure business needs are met
Product Expertise: Maintain thorough knowledge of current competitive landscape and be the agent of change.
Merchandising: Accountable to ensure in-store presentation standards are maintained to carrier audit standards including housekeeping, merchandising, signage, and maintenance of sales, stock and common areas.
Customer Service: Demonstrate leadership in providing positive and effective resolution customer and team member concerns as first point of escalation for store managers.
Partner Relationships: Build strong relationships and lines of communication with carrier personnel.
Team Communication: Accountable to ensure communications from senior management are funneled down to all staff, fully understood and immediately implemented.
Asset Protection: Accountable for the protection of company assets by following established policies, processes and procedures.
Key Job Expectations
Responsible for recruiting, development and retention for all team members within the district
Responsible for maintaining strong knowledge of products, accessories, pricing plans, and promotions
Ensure compliance with operational, sales and human resource policies
Operational excellence in the management of company assets; cash, inventory, and equipment.
Provide leadership, direction, council and encouragement to all team members
Take an active role in assisting team members with sales and identifying development opportunities
Conduct regular meetings with store managers to insure accountability towards district goals
Insure store action plans align with district objectives.
Obtain district sales goals by maximizing retail sales opportunities, customer prospecting, increasing traffic through outside activities while maintaining current customer base
Maintain a minimum of 100% of monthly district sales quota
Manage escalated customer service inquiries and maintain a high level of customer experience
Manage scheduling to optimize productivity and cost control
Insure stores represent the Sprint Prepaid brand appropriately
Build a motivational culture that promotes a positive team-based environment, values recognition and drives performance.

Required Experience and Education
High school education required.
University degree is an asset.
Supervisory or management experience of sales team is required, multi-unit management experience is preferred.
Demonstrated record of achievement in prior sales position is required.
Computer literate with knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications.
Enthusiasm for retail and wireless technology and products is required.
