We are looking to hire a senior inventory analyst who will be responsible for the accurate and timely accounting and reporting of the Company?s inventory and inventory related functions. Responsibilities include assuring adherence to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, International Financial Reporting Standards and Cost Accounting Standards
Prepare weekly, monthly & quarterly inventory reporting for both internal use and Japan requirements.
On-hand inventory levels, in-transit inventory, and royalties.
Analyze Gross Profit by Division/product grouping for reasonableness and perform detailed review by product/transaction as needed to investigate variances.
Maintain accuracy of all inventory cost records and Cost of Sales reporting through periodic reviews/testing.
LOCOM analysis, SKU revaluation, and all inventory reserves.
Account reconciliations
Review monthly AP inventory accruals and ensure the accurate and timely monthly payments to its parent organization. Prepare audit schedules for JSOX and related internal or external audits.
Monitor, track and provide metric reporting for zero value, slow moving, and obsolete inventory, and participate in monthly inventory review/reduction meetings. Prepare scrap and inventory adjustment reporting identifying key trends to help improve inventory management.
Detail oriented with ability to report conclusions accurately and concisely.
Highly organized and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Initiate and drive reporting improvements (efficiencies and accuracies) in month end financial reporting.
Initiate, guide and maintain process related improvements and operational analytical processes.
Requirements
BS degree in Accounting of Finance
5+ years Accounting experience
Strong Computer skills including standard MS office applications [Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Access] required
SAP experience preferred
Inventory experience required
