HUD Accountant Job Opening in Egg Harbor Township, New jersey - To maintain accurate and up to date general ledger entries and to function as a leader in the absence of the Chief Financial Officer.
HUD ? Manage and oversee accounting and documentation required by HUD housing projects, complete paperwork, monthly billing, budget reviews, audits and other related reports
Budget - Prepare the general ledger, complete entries, the transfer of funds and provide reports as requested
Investments ? Track current investment portfolio, reports to the CFO
Accounts Payable ? Review the Cash Disbursement Journal prior to printing and release of checks. Supervise proper procedure of voiding and canceling checks, provide or insure any necessary support for accurate and timely completion of payroll and accounting records
Audit ? Review household (internal audit) and consumer accounts, report deficiencies to management, prepare analysis of budget variances, assist auditors (external audit)
Salary: $34,000.00 /year
Required experience:
Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance. Two (2) years experience with a computerized account prog: 2 years
