Staff Accountant Job Opening in Tontitown, Arkansas - GENERAL PURPOSE:
Staff Accountant is an entry level position into the accounting department at PAM Transport, Inc. Individuals are generally responsible for assisting in the reconciliation of general ledger accounts, participating in the preparation of financial statements, special projects and analysis and generally learning financial and business concepts that are specific to PAM and to the trucking business. Individuals in this role should exhibit a level of professionalism and maturity customary to the profession, including timeliness, always striving to exceed expectations, eagerness to learn the business and financial concepts, meeting deadlines, and showing initiative / leadership, among other things.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: (includes but is not limited to the tasks below)
Account reconciliations
Variance analysis / explanation
Special projects
Efficiency / cost improvement identification / implementation
Supervision of clerical staff
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Degree in Accounting
GPA equal to or exceeding 3.0 in accounting classes
Aptitude for learning software, and financial and business concepts
REQUIRED EDUCATION :
Bachelor's
