A strong work ethic and a desire to build the business are essential, as are attention to detail and remaining calm under pressure. Additionally, we are looking for an individual who is responsible, accountable - and passionate about helping older adults live independently in their homes. This position would require managing another employee, a scheduling coordinator, and being accountable for making sure that the work is completed between the two of you.
In addition to the salary mentioned below, we can also negotiate on compensation relating to bonuses, health insurance, and on-call pay.
The scheduler is responsible for managing all aspects of client/caregiver scheduling, and for the training and management of our employee caregivers. Due to the inherent unpredictability associated with this work, this is not a 9-5 office position. This position requires the flexibility to be on-call on a rotating basis - answering our after-hours phone during nights and weekends, and responding to new service inquiries, emergencies, or calls from clients or caregivers. Our successful candidate will be familiar with and amenable to handling the challenges associated with staffing hourly, night and weekend shifts, 24-hour cases, new cases on short notice, and adapting to last-minute, emergency changes as they arise. The candidate we're seeking must also be capable of, and comfortable with, stepping in as a caregiver when such emergencies may arise. Therefore, experience in this role is necessary. The ideal candidate is articulate, has professional dress and demeanor, and is congenial.
Our office is a small, dynamic team and we're looking for someone adept at "wearing several hats." A critical competency our scheduler must possess is the talent to build rapport and positive relationships with our employees and clients. Confidentiality, professionalism, maturity of demeanor -- and a sense of humor -- are important attributes. Computer proficiency is required. Please indicate on your resume your experience with specific types of scheduling software. Experience with ClearCare software is an advantage.
