Accounting Manager Job Opening in Nashville, Tennessee - Description: The Accounting Manager is responsible for all areas relating to financial reporting. This position will be responsible for developing and maintaining accounting principles, practices and procedures to ensure accurate and financial reporting. This position addresses tight deadlines and a multitude of accounting activities including general ledger preparation, financial reporting, year-end benefit plan audit preparation and management of annual budget and forecast activities.
Responsibilities & Duties: * Obtain and maintain a thorough understanding of the financial reporting and general ledger structure. * Ensure an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end close. * Ensure the timely reporting of all monthly financial information. * Ensure the monthly and quarterly financial activities are performed in a timely and accurate manner. * Manage annual budget and forecasting activities. * Advise staff regarding the handling of non-routine reporting transactions. * Respond to inquiries from the CEO and other firm wide managers regarding financial results, special reporting requests and the like. * Create statistical reports with detailed accounting information * Other tasks and responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications:
Basic Required Qualifications: * Education: BA/BS in Accounting * 5 years of accounting in a medical practice setting: * Strong verbal and written communication skills. * Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and meet deadlines required. * Proficiency with Microsoft Office
