Tax Auditor 2 Job Opening in Shelbyville, Tennessee - The Tennessee Department of Revenue is currently seeking to fill a Tax Auditor 2 in our Shelbyville office. The Department?s field auditors examine taxpayer records for compliance with state tax laws and regulations and are regularly working in the field at taxpayers? places of business. To qualify for the position, graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree, including eighteen semester (twenty-seven quarter) hours in accounting or auditing; and one year of professional level accounting or auditing experience; qualifying full-time professional experience in accounting or auditing may be substituted for the required education.

Candidates should possess excellent communication skills. The successful candidate will have the ability to organize information and prioritize multiple tasks. These positions are based out of the Shelbyville office but require regular travel to taxpayer locations.
