Position Description
We are seeking SENIOR TAX ASSOCIATE in KINGSPORT, TN!
Specific duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:
Directs engagements, which includes the timeline, budget, schedule, and Associates
Reviews and prepares workpapers.
Assures compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
Prepares and/or reviews tax returns for completeness and accuracy.
Assists with research and planning according to the current tax laws and/or Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Evaluates the tax impact of current and proposed activities and transactions.
Can assist clients with strategies to minimize tax liabilities in accordance with current tax laws.
Supports the Partners and Tax Directors with tax audits by outside regulatory agencies.
Trains and supervises In-Charge Associates and Associates.
May begin to specialize in one specific area of our practice.
Has substantial interaction with clients.
Assists in the billing process.
May be responsible for several jobs at one time.
Participates in proposals and other practice activities.

Position Requirements
Bachelor?s or Master's degree, preferably in accounting.
3-5 years of public accounting or similar experience.
A certified public accountant (CPA) designation is strongly preferred.
Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
Highly motivated and enthusiastic.
Willing to stay up to date through continuing education and continuous reading of professional journals.
Experience using technology and basic software applications.
Ability to supervise and train.
Ability to interact well with clients.
Ability to work on more than one job at a time.
Involved in community/business associations.
