Financial Reporting Accountant Job Opening in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma - **Must have recent knowledge of SEC Filings, financial reporting and FERC. Public accounting or energy is HIGHLY preferred.**
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Obtain information from and coordinate the flow of information with other departments to resolve moderately complex accounting problems.
Prepare specialized
Identify the appropriate recording and reporting work method that achieves department and company objectives.
Perform and document internal controls to comply with federal, state, and local laws and rulings, (Sarbanes-Oxley Act, SEC), internal processes and Company policies.
Analyze data, prepare journal entries and assist in the preparation of various accounting schedules, reports, filings, returns and/or statements on a timely basis.
Minimum Education & Experience:
Bachelor?s Degree in Accounting or degree with 30 hours of Accounting.
Three years directly related experience or one year experience in public accounting.
CPA Certification preferred.
Energy industry or midstream experience preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
Knowledge of SEC Reporting and FERC Accounting preferred.
Technical accounting knowledge (GAAP) and reporting skills.
