HBW provides commercial construction services to Washington Metropolitan area. We currently have 125 , approximately 70 of whom work in our office in Rockville. You will know that you are in a professionally managed firm the minute you walk in the door. We are a fast-paced, results-driven, commercial construction team that focuses on interior projects.
Job Summary:
HBW Construction is seeking an experienced Project Accountant to join our accounting team. The position supports four to five project managers and handles:
Responsibilities:
Job Cost Reviews & Reporting for Project Managers and our Management Team
Progress Meetings with Project Managers to discuss Financial Performance on Jobs and necessary Job Budget Updates
Set-up of New Jobs to Include Contract Entry and Subcontractor Commitments
Preparation of AIA billings
Validation and Processing of Subcontractor and Material Requisitions
Requirements:
Our accounting team uses Sage 300 (Timberline) Accounting Software and prides itself on providing timely, accurate and value added guidance and reporting to our Project Managers and Management. We have a "can do" attitude and work in a friendly, fast paced environment.
3+ years of construction cost accounting experience.
Proficiency with Timberline, Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
Must be detail-oriented, organized, possess strong written and oral communication skills, and be able to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
Experience handling government contracts a major plus.
Must be able to work "hands-on" in a fast-paced, dynamic team orientated environment
