Senior Accountant Job Opening in Malvern, Pennsylvania - Job Description
Overview:
Reporting to the Assistant Controller, the Senior Accountant will support a wide variety of areas including: tax, compliance, month-end close, acquisition, audit and special projects.
The Senior Accountant will work heavily with the Accounting Manager to focus on streamlining the month-end close and completing it in a timely manner. This role will also have a heavy General Ledger focus.
Responsibilities:
Essential Functions
Responsible for acquisition accounting and support of acquisition integrations.
Oversee various tax and reporting required by state and federal authorities.
Manage annual income tax preparation with external CPAs.
Assist in the preparation and analysis of the month-end close.
Assisting with the annual audit.
Review internal controls and provide recommendations for improvements.
Completing ad-hoc projects as assigned.
Review GAAP documentation, draft policies and provide direction for the accounting team as new revenue arrangements arise or other areas needing GAAP guidance.
Qualifications:
Required Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Accounting
CPA with public accounting experience in audit
3-7 years of relevant accounting experience
Experience using NetSuite or comparable Accounting software
Must possess organizational skills that reflect ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly in a fast-paced environment with excellent attention to detail
Strong interpersonal skills and emotional maturity
Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion
Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word required.
