PERSONAL CARE ATTENDANT (PCA) - JOB COACH Job Opening in minneapolis, Minnesota - PERSONAL CARE ATTENDANT (PCA) - JOB COACH 26 year old developmentally delayed young man seeks a person to assist him with activities of daily living, job coaching, and recreational social activities. His disability is Angelman Syndrome. He needs help in our St. Paul Crocus Hill home, and in job and community settings. Duties include taking him on outings, social activities with friends, bike rides, walks and swimming. He holds part time jobs in the community, so,depending on work hours, position may include job coaching. Position includes working on developing independence in all settings and facilitating communication skills. Position will include evening & weekend hours. 20 - 30 hours per week. Ideal candidate is a person with career plans in medicine, special education, community integration, physical therapy, or similar fields. Prior experience working with a person with disabilities is a plus, although kindness, caring, compassion & a quick study are the most important qualities for the position.
