Accounting and Finance Manager Job Opening in Fort Myers, Florida - Position Summary: Responsible for all accounting activity within the organization, directly and with delegation to two staff members.
Essential Focus:
Seven major focus areas include:
Data and accounting entry
Account analysis
Account reconciliation
Monthly financial reporting and management dashboards
Annual audit preparation and documentation
Variance analysis
Customer and departmental resolution
Duties:
Manage the monthly financial close
Analyze the monthly financial statements
Lead agency account analysis, reconciliation, and resolution
Direct process engineering of department workflow
Lead the annual audit process including tax filings
Activities:
Donation processing and accounting
Accounts receivable, grants, and collections
Payroll accounting and 401(k) plan administration
Government documentation and accounting
Bank and investment reconciliations
Accounts payable
Customer reconciliations
Accrued and prepaid expenses
Fixed assets and depreciation
Qualifications:
General

Ability to relate effectively with other staff, volunteers, agency representatives and the general public.
Must have clear understanding of and ability to articulate the mission of the HCFB.
Ability to complete work in an accurate, effective and timely manner.
Ability to perform physical labor as necessary to assist in achieving HCFB Mission.
Valid Florida driver?s license.
Specific to Position
Bachelor?s degree in finance, accounting or related field. MBA/CPA strongly preferred
Seven years minimum of experience in financial management.
At least two years supervisory experience.
Excellent analytical skills.
Intermediate proficiency level in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
Knowledge of Microsoft ERP platforms (MS Dynamics GP/NAV) strongly preferred.
Good oral and written communication skills.
Working Conditions: The work is performed in an office, and very little travel is required.
