Business Analyst Job Opening in Portland, Oregon - Job Summary:
Provide compassionate leadership, management and vision necessary to ensure that Community Services Incorporated (CSI) delivers quality supports and services in a manner that reflects the philosophy and mission of the organization and that will allow the organization, its employees and the people receiving services to thrive.
The Business Analyst works closely with the team to accomplish strategic goals and objectives. The Business Analyst adds value to the organization by leading the implementation of best practices related to financial and asset management and business development.
Essential Functions:
Working in partnership with the executive team, develop a strategic plan and implement processes and approaches to achieve it.
Ensure that organizational systems operate consistently and ethically within the mission and values of CSI.
Provide effective and inspiring leadership, as well as stewardship, of CSI by leading and managing financial and business aspects of the organization, including:
Development and monitoring of operational and capital budgets
Management of organizational assets (leased and owned properties and equipment)
Regular financial reporting (internal and external to CSI)
Analysis of income and expense flow
Annual audit preparation
Analysis of business opportunities (diversification of revenue streams)
Ensure timely completion of tax/tax-exempt and grant reports
Develop and report on metrics associated with key performance indicator.
Direct supervision of assigned staff.
Qualifications and Skills
A minimum of three (3) years recent experience in a leadership position in human services accounting, finance or business, non-profit experience preferred.
A bachelor?s degree is preferred or an Associate?s Degree with at least two years of related business experience.
Demonstrated ability to represent the organization in a professional and compelling manner through written and verbal communications.
Excellent interpersonal relationship skills as follows:
Ability to attract, retain and foster a wide array of relationships beneficial to the organization.
Enthusiasm to build awareness, create relationships, engage stakeholders and instill excitement about CSI and its mission.
Proven ability to work collaboratively within an organization, the community and with external partners and key stakeholders.
Ability to coach, mentor and provide performance feedback to direct reports. * Intellectual competencies as follows:
Proven ability to think strategically and systematically with experience in metrics management.
Strong ability to think creatively and pursue non-traditional avenues and solutions.
Ability to handle diverse, simultaneous tasks, meet deadlines and attention to follow-through.
Exceptional planning, implementation and organizational skills.
Ability to understand, synthesize and translate complex issues into consumer-friendly language.
Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail. * Must have a cleared and approved background check.
Good working knowledge and proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Power Point?) and QuickBooks.
