The Role:
Orchestra Software is seeking a talented and highly-motivated Financial Analyst to assist the VP of Finance & Administration in the development, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of The Company?s data. This position will be responsible for querying or pulling data from various databases and systems, then using this data to assist stakeholders in driving decision making within the organization by translating the often-complex language of data into actionable, easy to understand metrics. This role?s primary objectives are to obtain, scrub, explore, validate, model, document and interpret data sets large and small; blending finance and statistics in a fresh and engaging way. The ideal candidate for this role will be a guru with forecasting, budgeting, and financial planning with advanced Excel skills and a true passion for numbers and finite details. This position will be focused on using data to identify trends, using statistics to tell a story, and communicate relationships within the data in a tangible and easy to digest methodology which even non-technical users can grasp. In this role, you will also be tasked with documenting the analysis performed in a way that enables other members of the Finance team to easily understand the logic and follow the methodology used to obtain various results, including cross-training and the ability to duplicate your work through documentation and instruction.

This individual will also be comfortable assisting the VP of Finance in the development of scalable, auditable, and repeatable processes. This ideal candidate will also be one who approaches blockers and impediments with a ?can-do? attitude and is not afraid of stepping into a role with little clarity or process definition but rather sees this as an opportunity to assist a growing organization in building and developing their dream job.
The Responsibilities:
Review and analyze complex data sets to produce actionable results and insights.
Produce documentation (visuals and presentations) to clearly and effectively communicate and present findings to stakeholders, including senior management and executive leadership
Proven ability to operate cross functionally to develop, implement and maintain an effective planning and analysis capability that will provide senior leadership with appropriate analytical tools to establish goals and measure performance.
Plans, develops, coordinates and implements standardized monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting metrics.
Prepares and analyzes monthly closing reports and journal entries for payroll, COGS, and variance reports.
Reviews and administers payroll data entry, inputs payroll related journal entries and cost adjustment or allocation functions for all personnel.
Prepares departmental operating budgets and reviews actual against budgeted performance. Analyzes and explains deviations.
Assisting in creation and execution of annual budgeting process for both operating and capital budgets, assuring the delivery of financial objectives is consistent with strategic plans.
Works closely with accounting team to test, validate, and verify data and model operations, and recommends corrective action to ensure favorable budget performance.
Forecasts revenue, COGS, labor, and other operating cost monthly.
Audits departmental operating practices versus documented standard operating procedures and company policies and takes necessary actions to ensure process revisions and documentation are in place and organized for easy accessibility.
Coordinates and assists accounting staff in quarterly and annual review processes.
Directs monthly and semi-annual software license reporting and audits. Explains book to physical differences and establishes procedures to eliminate variances and streamline reporting compliance standards.
Performs reconciliations for software licenses and evaluates onetime COGS, ongoing COGS, and gross margin per license and per customer.
Performs special projects, assignments and analysis as directed by the VP of Finance or as requested by members of senior leadership.
Works with teams to determine and implement cost savings practices for projects.

The Qualifications:
A bachelor?s degree or equivalent experience; 2-5 years? professional experience in financial analysis of SaaS software metrics is highly preferred.
Experience in SAP Business One, Salesforce CRM, and Teamwork, specifically at administrator level within each platform, has significant advantage.
Ability to write and understand data queries from various database types, including the develop and writing of Crystal reporting.
Advanced level or above proficiency with MS Excel
Strong attention to details
Able to understand and explain complex business models and ROI analysis
Experience with mergers & acquisitions, management of company stock and stock option pools preferred.
