Skagit Regional Health has an opening for a Clinic Supervisor at our Family Medicine Clinic in Mount is an exempt, benefits eligible position.
The ideal candidate will have previous supervisory experience, multidisciplinary clinic and ambulatory experience.
Essential Functions:
Functions clinically at the highest level within RN scope of practice.
Demonstrates proficiency with common medical procedures.
Maintains working knowledge of medications frequently prescribed in the department(s)
Attends all mandatory meetings and in-services provided; broadens professional knowledge including outside education specific to specialty area(s).
Promotes flow of patients and information across departments and the organization.
Collaborates with Practice Managers, Clinical Educator and Leads.
Serves as professional role model for all departmental staff.
Supervises clinical staff to assure they function within and up to the limits of scope of practice as allowed by
Serves as a Electronic Health Record super user.
Hires, trains, evaluates and disciplines, including termination, of Medical Assistants, LPNs, and RNs in collaboration with Practice Manager, Director, Clinical Educator and Human Resources.
Coordinates clinical staff scheduling to ensure optimal coverage; approves or denies leave requests.
Maintains Kronos timesheets and completes the bi-weekly sign off according to defined deadlines.
Assists MAs to complete assigned clinical competencies.
Provides real time or just in time training and clinical guidance as needed.
Assesses clinical workflows; identifies and implements best practices that promote standardization throughout the organization.
Participates in departmental LEAN projects, compliance audits and quality monitors.
Provides direct patient care on a limited and emergent basis only to ensure safe and efficient patient care.
Collaborates with Providers on activities and projects related to direct patient care and participates in provider department meetings.
Provides timely feedback to Practice Managers, Directors, Clinical Educator and Leads regarding staff performance and departmental concerns.
Involves them in discussions and planning prior to implementing changes.
Collaborates with Clinical Educator, Quality Coordinator and Chief Nursing Executive to ensure DNV compliance and readiness.
Oversees management of department medication stocks and monitors compliance with medication administration.
Collaborates with community health organizations and health care providers across the organization
Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited RN program; BSN preferred.
Current Washington State RN license and American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS required.
Previous supervisory experience; two years experience in an ambulatory clinical setting preferred.
