Revenue Cycle Manager Job Opening in Kent, Washington - The Revenue Cycle Manager is responsible for developing, planning, organizing and implementing strategies to bill customers, process payments, minimize bad debt, improve cash flow and manage the overall health of the agency?s receivables. This position is also responsible for the day to day billing and revenue cycle processes with special attention to billing outcomes and coding performance. This includes working with the billing company, departmental staff and physicians to assure optimum billing performance. This position will work on revenue cycle performance to meet short term strategic goals and will provide analytical analysis and create written guidelines, policies, and procedures in accordance with implementation of all work processes as a result of thorough analysis.
Essential Job Functions : (This is not the job description in its entirety)
Manage the day to day billing operations within the Department with special emphasis on the front end systems to assure that all information provided for billing is accurate and timely across all divisions and locations.
Responsible for denial work file management, collaborating with divisional managers and staff to ensure claims processing occurs in a timely manner. Coordinates edit code training for front end staff.
Responsible for entire pipeline of charge capture activities from encounter form development and review to correct coding and oversight for ensuring accurate reimbursement for services billed.
Responsible for driving process improvement initiatives related to front end revenue cycle functions, in collaboration with the operations leadership and divisional managers.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor?s degree in health care administration, business or other related field.
Pass required background checks
Experience:
Minimum of 5-8 years experience in health care management such as but not limited to clinic management, patient management, and accounts receivables.
Strong background in financial management and knowledgeable of federal and state laws and requirements relating to healthcare management.
Knowledge of CPT and ICD-10 coding. Certified Professional Coder preferred
