High Complexity Laboratory Director Job Opening in Seattle, Washington - Lab Director ? Highly Complex Lab - PhD or MD ONLY
A healthcare clinic/clinical diagnostic laboratory is seeking a Laboratory Director. The selected candidate will work with the laboratory and provide oversight of systems, processes and department operations.
The ideal candidate will provide technical expertise and oversight of the lab's day-to-day operations. The Clinical Laboratory Director should have knowledge of clinical laboratory regulations (CLIA) and any additional regulatory experience. Experience having successfully led a clinical laboratory through an inspection will be valued.
Prior experience in urine toxicology and LCMS is required.
Requirements
Either an MD Pathologist or a PhD with appropriate board certification to meet CLIA requirements to be a high-complexity laboratory director (or eligible to obtain)
2+ years of experience working in a clinical laboratory environment
2+ years experience in directing and supervising a high complexity testing laboratory
Experience with clinical regulatory requirements is a must
Experience running high complexity lab; urine screening and confirmation testing
Experience procuring equipment and certifications
Salary: Monthly lab director fees will vary based on experience
For PhDs:
The qualification for a laboratory director of high-complexity testing is that the laboratory director must hold an earned doctoral degree in a chemical, physical, biological or clinical laboratory science from an accredited institution and be certified and continue to be certified by a board approved by HHS. ABMM ? American Board of Medical Microbiology
NRCC ? National Registry of Certified Chemists
For MDs:
Must be certified in Clinical Pathology by the American Board of Pathology (ABP)
