Automotive Controller Job Opening in Kansas City, Kansas - Overview:
Growing Kansas City Area Automotive Dealer Group is looking for a professional and experienced Automotive Controller to join their Management Team. The successful candidate will oversee all financial and accounting activities and will work with the General Manager to manage the results of the dealerships.
Candidate must have previous Automotive Controller experience and a minimum of 5 years accounting experience. Accounting degree and a CPA is preferred, but not required.
Responsibilities:
The position is responsible for accounting oversight, asset management, dealership compliance, as well as the decisions of the dealerships. This is a fantastic opportunity for a professional who thrives in a busy work place, and is well-versed in working closely with senior management.
Oversight of the accounting office personnel along with all aspects of the general ledger and financial statements
Partner with the General Manager to consult with the Departmental Managers to manage the financial results of the dealerships
Responsible for adherence to dealership policies, dealership compliance, and internal control structure.
Proactively manage and safeguard company assets
Actively manage expense structure and vendor relationships
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports required by the management team
Work with the owners and management team to review the data and prepare reports and analysis as needed.
Qualifications:
The Controller candidate must have previous Automotive Controller experience and a minimum of 5 years accounting experience. Accounting degree and a CPA is preferred, but not required.

Strong ADP/CDK DMS experience is a bonus
