Job report to : Direct report to Accounting Manager
Typical Duties and Responsibilities include, but not limited to, the following:
Job duties list for Senior Accountant
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY:
Create journal entries, maintain general ledger and close books monthly
Prepare monthly financial statements such as balance sheet, profit and loss, and cash flow statement.
Do a monthly bank reconciliation
Prepare manufacturing cost analysis
Review and analyze inventory and margin reports by conducting cost analysis and profitability
Analyze inventory evaluation as well as assist physical inventories
Maintain fixed asset register
Responsible for documenting accounts payable transactions as well as supervising accounts receivable by keeping track of aging payables and receivables and following up with customers regarding aging receivables
Validate vendor contracts, PO and invoices for accuracy and prepares the payments by verifying documentations
Review and negotiate chargebacks and customer deductions as well as resolving discrepancies
Compute taxes owed and prepare tax returns, sales tax, and ensure taxes are compliance with payment, reporting or other tax requirements
Prepare & compute bi-monthly payroll and submit to ADP as well as W-4, I-9, 401 K, worker comp insurance
Prepare and submit all necessary report to governmental agency and maintain all licenses and registration.
Ensure books and financials are in accordance with GAAP or other required accounting standards
Develop, maintain, and analyze budgets, preparing periodic reports that compare budgeted costs to actual costs as well as monitor the expenditure to ensure that departments remain within the budget.
Generate, review, analyze, and communicate financial data that reflects actual financial performance against approved budgets
Supervise and train subordinate as needed
Participate in special projects as needed
Protect organization?s value by keeping information confidential
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
QUALIFICATION:
Bachelor degree in Accounting or related field
Thorough understanding of General Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
5+ years relevant accounting experience
Cost accounting or CPA candidate is a strong plus
Pharmaceutical and manufacturing experience is preferred
Familiar with Intermediate Excel and Microsoft Dynamic GP is preferred
Strong problem-solving ability
Detail oriented and thorough; ability to review accounting documents for complete accuracy
Must be able to effectively handle multiples task in a deadline driven environment.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $45,000.00 to $50,000.00 /year
