If you think you?re the right person for this mission, we?d like you to apply for the position of Salesperson. If your application is successful, you?ll have an exciting role at the forefront of freight forwarding.
You?ll offer a custom solution for clients with non-standard needs (and hopefully save them a few bucks). And, you?ll earn a salary of $55K - $60K (depending on experience) a salary that almost certainly exceeds that of your peers.

At EA Logistics, we provide full-service shipping, logistics and warehousing capabilities throughout Chicagoland, the United States, and the world.
We?re a 2nd generation family owned business that has been around for 40 years. Our team is growing and we are seeking an experienced salesperson to join our warm family culture and fun work atmosphere in our busy Wood Dale office.

Here?s why you want this role!
There are two things that suck about typical sales roles.
First, few people want to talk to you. And, second, you have to starve (almost) to death, while you build up your commission here!
First, we?re at the forefront of freight forwarding offering customer solutions, and all business people want to talk about that.
Second. We play the long game so that you don?t have to. We?ll start you on a salary, commensurate with your experience. We?ll then increase that salary, regularly, as you accumulate skills. At every step, we?ll ensure you?re paid your market value (or better) and we?ll work hard, every day, to boost that value!
In addition to having plenty of people to talk to, and being paid well, there?s a bunch of other good news.
In this sales role?unlike pretty much every other sales role on the planet? you don?t have to prospect for potential clients. We have a dynamic marketing team that does this for you. This team identifies market segments, does research to determine businesses? special requirements, customizes a compelling offering to meet those special requirements and then initiates a conversation with decision makers on your behalf.
And, in this sales role?unlike pretty much every other? there?s no admin work. None! You don?t have to process orders, generate quotes, resolve issues or deal with any of the other malarkey that handicaps other salespeople?s productivity.
All you have to do is continue those conversations that we start for you, consult, and sell!
We?ll pay you a competitive salary based on experience. This means you are paid what you deserve (No more waiting for commissions or guessing what you true salary will be). We also offer a host of benefits including Medical (United Healthcare), Vanguard 401(k), etc.).
Oh, and one more thing. You don?t have to travel. This role is Chicagoland (Wood Dale) based. You?ll do your consultative selling with a headset and Google Hangouts. There?ll be no unproductive windshield time for you, dear reader.
What we?ll need from you

We?ll be looking for someone who?s had 1-2 years minimum of freight forwarding experience with exposure to small to midsized business.
We definitely want someone who?s a great communicator. Some sales experience is a plus. (Too much sales experience, maybe not so much!)
And, we want someone who?s a team player (not a mercenary). After all, sales at EA Logistics is a team sport and we like it that way.
