Cotton Candy is currently growing and looking to add a Merchandising/Sales Executive to our downtown Chicago, Illinois team! This role will be an integral part of the sales team providing complete in-house support and work towards becoming a leader in sales generation and account management. The individual hired into this position will have the opportunity to develop this new dynamic position and their input will be highly valued.
What are the Responsibilities?
Become an active and contributing member of the sales team
Understand and use Cotton Candy's operating system
Source and quote for domestic and overseas items
Compose professional presentations for clientele
Create and order product samples and coordinate returns
Business development, including cold calling and lead generation (via phone, email, marketing campaigns)
Prepare for client meetings
Attend local supplier tradeshows, in house supplier presentations, and offsite CCI sales meetings where required
Quality control of orders that arrive at CCI before being delivered to client and assist with solving any order related problems should they arise
Develop and implement new systems to improve efficiency
Other duties as required
What are we looking for?
Someone who aspires to be a ROCK STAR in SALES! If you are prepared to work closely with experienced and successful sales reps to learn the INS and OUTS of the industry then this may be the perfect role for you! We are looking for motivated, ambitious individuals who have a keen interest in SELLING. Other qualities we are looking for include:
Completion of a post-secondary education, or equivalent industry experience
Proficient in MS Office and Outlook
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Demonstrated leadership in academic, civic, and/or professional endeavours
Multi-tasking abilities, great people skills, creative and energetic!
