A Fortune 500 ranked commercial real estate firm seeks an Accountant for an opportunity at their Memphis, Tennessee location. The Accountant will primarily be responsible for activities relating to a complete and accurate general ledger, as well as managerial reports and financial statements.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to :
Prepares income statements, balance sheets, and other accounting statements for small to mid-size clients or markets.
Maintains, records, and reconciles billings and accounts receivables and enters data into appropriate databases.
Creates month-end accounting entries and reconciles discrepancies; posts to general ledger and reviews variances to budget.
Reviews transactions from subsystem to ensure accurate data contained in various tables and sub ledgers.
A well-qualified candidate will possess the following :
Bachelor?s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Minimum of two to four years of related experience, preferably 2+ years in general accounting, A/P, A/R clerical and or/entry level accountant positions.
Knowledge of GAAP and FASB regulations.
Excellent analytical and quantitative skills; proficient in Microsoft Office Suite applications.
