Job Description
Lease Processing Agents manage the underwriting of customer leases submitted by our retailers. Lease applications are processed using Acima?s own online lease origination and underwriting portal. Processing Agents perform in-depth reviews and analysis of the applications submitted prior to issuing the customer or merchant a credit decision. Processing Agents also provide support, as needed, to the customer and retailer during the various stages of application and underwriting.
Position Functions
Underwriting lease applications
Issue credit decisions based on current company underwriting guidelines
Auditing applications to ensure accuracy
Retailer support through phone, email and chat
Customer application support through phone and email
Documentation review for accuracy and information gathering
Verify applicant?s employment through written and/or verbal communication with applicant?s employer.
Communicate with applicant?s bank to confirm banking information.
Required Knowledge, Skills and/or Abilities
Experience Preferred: at least 1 year of Customer Service in a call center. Candidates with underwriting or banking experience are highly encouraged to apply.
Fluent in English
Knowledge of the credit underwriting process or loan documentation preferred
Understanding of income calculation through bank statement review
Perfect punctuality
Ability to perform efficiently and friendly in a fast-paced environment
Strong oral and written communication skills
Effective listening skills with the ability to act on what is learned
Excellent phone etiquette and demonstrated customer service skills.
Self-motivated and driven
Generally computer savvy
Team cooperation and coordination to reach department goals
Schedule and Hours
Both full-time and part-time positions available now
Our Underwriting department is open Monday ? Saturday from 7:00 am ? 9:00 pm and Sunday from 8:00 am ? 8:00 pm.
As the department must mirror our retailers? hours you should expect to be working occasional evenings and most weekends.
Compensation
Pay is largely dependent on experience but starting wages range from $14.00 - $17.00 an hour.
