Member Service Representative Job Opening in Washington, District of columbia - Our Client is currently expanding its member service department. This private, non?profit, membership?driven organization comprised of nearly 10,000 industry driven healthcare professionals. Under minimal supervision, this position is responsible for selling memberships to new prospective healthcare professionals .
Reports directly : To the Membership Development Director.
Job Title: Membership Representative
Wage: $15.00- $20.00 Hourly based on experiences
Position Responsibilities:
Contact, acquire and sell new memberships
Achieve budgeted revenue goals
Actively seeks new businesses and follows up appropriately
Remains informed of member benefits and inform members
Works renewal accounts and target new accounts as assigned
Assists members in taking full advantage of their membership
Attends regular staff meetings
Other duties as assigned by the Membership Development Director
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Strong organization, time management and multi?tasking skills
Detail oriented
Must have previous customer service experience
Proficient in Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Excel and Word
Ability to prospect/cold?call new members
Strong verbal and written communications skills
Capable of maintaining information
Must be a team player that works well in an adapting environment
Must have the ability to foster the values of member relations
Exceptional people skills with an outgoing personality
Able to work fulltime
