Designs, modifies, develops, writes and implements software programming applications with ability to design a system (ie a combination of software components/modules that together form a software entity). Supports and/or installs software systems. Participates in the testing process through certification of software. Typically requires knowledge or higher education in field of engineering.
Build modern web applications from the ground up
Update and optimize legacy applications
Secure and optimize a growing AWS presence
Solve challenging technical problems with the best available tools
Ensure applications meet industry standards for security and reusability
Ability to rapidly pivot work based on customer priority changes
2+ years experience writing RESTful API end points and JSON
1+ year experience writing APIs with / Express
Experience with JavaScript ES6/7
Experience with Open Source tools
Experience with Solr or Elastic Search
Demonstrated experience writing RESTful APIs
Demonstrated experience with relevant Amazon Web Services
Experience working in Agile/SCRUM teams
Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Highly collaborative and able to give/receive critical feedback
Ability to learn new applications and develop new skills quickly
Ability to take ownership, demonstrate initiative and be personally accountable
Proficient in SQL (MySQL)
Experience using version control (e.g. Git)
Desired Qualifications:
Experience with test frameworks (e.g. Mocha, Chai, Selenium)
Experience with Python
Ensure database tables and query execution plans are optimized
Experience with Jira Issue Manager and Confluence or similar tools
Experience with Redhat/CentOS
Experience with Devops
Experience in building CI/CD processes (Jenkins)
