Currently seeking a part-time onsite Quality Source Inspector in Louisville, KY, for 24 hours per month for 1 year
Job Details:
As a Quality Control Inspector you will compare the products with released engineering drawings, purchase orders and other contractual requirements as specified by operations. As you take direction from quality assurance department, you will interface with designated points of contact at 3rd party contract manufacturers and suppliers. The Quality Assurance Department requires inspection and services to monitor manufacturing and quality processes at various contract manufacturers (CM) and electronic manufacturing services (EMS) providers, and to approve manufactured items completed and presented for buyoff, including end unit box builds.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Check for quality workmanship according to published manufacturing standards
Provide documentation reviews for each shipment and also perform reviews of AS9102 First Article Reports prepared by the Contract Manufacturer
Suggest ways in which the quality of products could be improved and provide written reports of Source Inspection results to management
Conduct quality audits and will also initiate and address corrective and preventive actions when non-conformances are noted in products or the processes used to produce customer products
Requirements:
Certification in IPC-A-610
5+years Quality Assurance in a manufacturing environment
Inspection of electronic, mechanical or electro-mechanical assemblies
Experience in FAI, SI, RI inspection
Knowledge of QA process with non-conforming material and MRB
Supplier evaluation, approval and corrective and preventative actions
Ability to interpret engineering drawings
Associate?s degree or equivalent experience
Up to 10% domestic travel
