Accounting Clerk II Job Opening in Bowling Green, Kentucky - The Accounting Clerk is responsible for accounts receivable, collections, transportation industry quarterly tax returns and other general accounting activities including statement reconciliation, data entry, and filing.
Responsibilities:
Processing, generating, reviewing and distributing invoices to customers
Performing accounts receivable and collections duties including contacting customers on past due balances
Filing monthly and quarterly tax returns including mileage and fuel tax and IFTA tax.
Cross training in accounts payable and payroll and other departmental activities
Ensuring the highest level of service to our customers, employees and vendors while always monitoring efficiencies for Bluegrass
Reviewing procedures and focusing on continuous improvement
Essential Functions:
Clerical duties including entering data, scanning/attaching documents, faxing and filing
Following detailed processes and completing tasks with minimal supervision
Interpreting data and contracts
Auditing invoices based on applicable contracts
Communicating clearly with customers, both external and internal

Job Requirements:
2+ years of related accounting experience
Expert knowledge of Microsoft Excel
Working knowledge Microsoft Outlook, Word & Power Point
Strong organizational skills
Ability to multitask and to perform in a fast-paced environment; handling a high volume of inbound email and phone calls with timely, professional and courteous responses
Requirements:
