Hotel Sales Manager Job Opening in Boca Raton, Florida - The Sales Manager is responsible for establishing new Group Business, National, Regional and Local Negotiated Accounts and maintaining strong trusted relationships with our current Sales Manager will work closely with the management team to maximize revenues ensuring the hotels continued success and profitability. This position is critical to the success of the hotel and requires an individual who is naturally at ease with people, can think quickly on their feet and is determined to succeed. This position will be heavily focused on prospecting for new business by cold calling in person.
Duties and Responsibilities
Acquire and maintain a solid base of accounts towards attaining the property?s budgeted profit levels.
Solicit sales for the property through planned, personal calls and telephone solicitations to local trade and professional , travel agents, as well as other local and state organizations that could result in potential business for the hotel.
Monitor customer preferences to determine focus of sales efforts
Maintains contact with all clients in the market area to ensure high levels of client satisfaction
Take initiative to develop new strategies and uncover new markets to generate sales.
Target accounts, markets, or segments with heavy emphasis on proactive solicitation and account saturation.
Arrange and conduct special events, site inspections, and off-site presentations for potential clients.
Provide operations staff up-to-the-minute information regarding specific accounts.
Regular, consistent attendance is essential to the successful performance of this position.
Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the hotel.
Required Skills and Experience
Highly energetic and motivated individual
Must have strong sales skills
1+ years of sales experience required
Previous hospitality industry experience is required
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with strong customer/client focus essential
Self-Starter with ability to work independently and as a team
Strong problem-solving skills
Excellent written communication skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high pressure environment
Ability to shift and manage multiple priorities
Results driven focus and ability to work through to completion in a timely manner
Adaptable to change
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products to include, but not limited to Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
High level of flexibility regarding overtime during times busy periods as required by the business
