JOB PURPOSE:
Apply principles of accounting to analyze financial information and prepare financial reports by compiling information, preparing analysis, and utilizing appropriate accounting procedures.
MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Significant functional general ledger and internal reporting
Familiarity with internal control activities/account reconciliations
Experience on the following technologies: - SAP, Hyperion Planning and/or HFM ? Excel and the Office package
Responsible for capital/fixed assets accounting
Responsible for overseeing industrial physical inventory control a plus.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple task assignments to strict deadlines
Strong oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills
Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to exercise mature judgment
Deep functional knowledge around financial systems, reconciliations and process improvements.
Proven skills as a team member or team lead on at least one full life cycle implementation

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor?s Degree in Accounting or Finance
CPA or CPA candidate/MBA preferred - At least 2 years relevant experience (industry and/or Big Four)
Knowledge of accounting, budgeting, and internal control principles
Knowledge of financial and accounting software applications
An ability to analyze financial data and prepare reports, statements, and projections
High degree of professionalism, integrity, and discretion is required
Ability to participate and facilitate group discussions and teamwork
Willingness to work flexible schedule and long hours
Skills usually developed through a combination of at least five years experience in a professional accounting environment with a history of increasing responsibility. Completion of a bachelor?s degree in Accounting is required. Some accreditation or progress toward receiving accreditation would be a plus.
