Dentist Director of Membership CEO - Donate Life California Job Opening in sacramento, California - CEO - Donate Life California Chief Executive Officer � Donate Life California Donate Life California is a nonprofit Organ and Tissue Donor Registry authorized by the state of California and formed in 2004 by the state�s four federally designated non-profit organ procurement organizations (OPOs). Donate Life California is dedicated to saving the lives of Californians awaiting life-saving transplants and is committed to giving every person on the waiting list a second chance at life. Summary: In collaboration with the Donate Life California Board, the CEO will develop and execute the strategic plan that supports the organization�s lifesaving mission. Key responsibilities include; organizational development, board collaboration, financial oversight, legislative interaction, and administration of employees and company resources. Key Duties: Strategic Development of Organizational Goals in collaboration with the Board of Directors, identification of trends and opportunities to increase the growth of the Donate Life California Registry, and promotion of DLC nationally. Cultivate broad relationships within the community, legislature, healthcare industry, corporations, and individuals to further the culture of donation in California. Acts as primary point of communication with DMV leadership. Collaborates with member OPOs to develop public relations campaigns and promotional materials for statewide implementation. Work closely with the Board to complete organizational goals and ensuring the strategic focus and accountability of board members. Develops Board of Directors including suggestion of new membership categories and selection of members. Oversees budget and seeks grants as needed for statewide initiatives Serves as primary liaison with lobbyist and legislative groups to help build strong public policies that support organ, eye and tissue donation. Establish and develop relationships with legislators and the Governor�s office. Effective organizational management through the selection, training, and motivation of employees. Recommends and maintains a program for high performance standards and sound employee relations. Qualifications: Bachelors degree required. Graduate degree strongly preferred. 5-7 years of high level administrative experience in an OPO, Tissue Bank, Donor Registry, or similar organization. : The CEO will be eligible for a comprehensive compensation and benefits package.
