Horizons Wellness Director - King, NC Job Opening in King, North carolina - Ridge Care, a leader in Senior Housing, is seeking a dynamic individual to fill the leadership role of Horizons Wellness Director at Priddy Manor Assisted Living, located in King, NC.
Candidates should possess 1-3 years long-term care experience, exceptional leadership skills; have the ability to manage and motivate staff, enjoy interacting with residents and families; and networking with groups and service providers in the greater community. Med Tech/CNA Certificate required.
Essential Job Duties:
Provide hands on supervision of caregiver staff of the Horizons department, ensure provisions of quality resident care, and uphold residence philosophy and resident well-being. Provide direct assistance with activities, activities of daily living and support to residents.
Ensure that all systems for providing and tracking resident care are completed in accordance with the residence policies and procedures
Complete non-PCS care plan for all residents in the Horizon neighborhood
E-MAR order management for Horizon?s neighborhood residents
Complete resident new admit/re-admission assessment
Complete pharmacy consults and collaborate with pharmacy staff as needed
Collaborate with Resident Care Consultant on clinical tasks
Complete 5 ? 10 med pass observations per month
Quarterly audit 25% of all resident charts
Responsible for completing all Horizon?s care profiles on a quarterly basis
Handles incident report tracking, intervention and shared risk agreements
Qualifications:
Med Tech/CNA Certificate required
Desire to work with the elderly. Experience working with Alzheimer Residents preferred
Supervisory experience in a healthcare or service industry
Effective communicator with the ability to appropriately respond to needs and concerns as needed
Computer proficient with in-depth experience in Excel, Word & Outlook
CPR certification
One year experience in the assisted living or other human services field preferred.
Professional, friendly and caring disposition with a desire to work with older adults
Good time management and organizational skills. Ability to prioritize and multi-task
Maintain a clean driving record, valid driver?s license, reliable transportation and auto insurance
Must be able to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, special events and holidays
