Senior Cost Accountant - PPG Job Opening in Monroe, Connecticut - Basic Function of the Job:
Responsible for supporting the accounting/finance function of the M Cubed Technologies - Precision Product Group (PPG).
Prepare monthly financial reports, including product line profitability and departmental spending reports for the PPG organization
Handle cost accounting for the PPG organization
Ensure the Company's financial plans and policies are implemented and followed, including supporting the financial planning process (annual, strategic and quarterly)
Oversee fixed asset tracking and Capital Project Requests
Assist with all auditing needs related to the costing of all Company products and projects
Ensure inventory accuracy efforts through regular cycle count activities and annual physical inventories
Provide financial and operational metrics for PPG operational managers
Job Requirements:
Education:
B.S. in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration
Experience:
Minimum 5 years experience as a cost accountant in a manufacturing environment, with an emphasis on cost analysis, reporting and variance analysis.
Experience with problem analysis and resolution
Demonstrated ability to achieve results independently or working with others
Ability to recommend and implement improvements
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Experience with networked PC based computer system (MS Office, spreadsheets, access, graphics, Email, MRP systems, and accounting software)
Special Skills:
Ability to handle multiple priorities involving external and internal priorities
Ability to excel in a , cross cultural, global team environment
Handle special assignments promptly and professionally
Set a high standard of ethics, professionalism, leadership, and competency
