Job Responsibilities
As our Staff Accountant, your engagement will primarily include preparing individual tax returns. However, we also offer the opportunity to grow into more involved services such as;
Preparing corporate, partnership and trust tax returns.
Preparing compiled and reviewed financial statements.
Preparing personal financial statements for individuals.
Representing clients in any IRS or State audits. These audits may include income tax, sales tax, corporate tax, etc.
Consultations with clients covering a wide range of issues such as computer consulting, business plans, estate and financial planning, business valuation, etc.
Handling Estate and Trust which may include probate account, Federal and State inheritance tax returns and fiduciary income tax returns.
Researching tax or accounting issues that may arise with our clients.
Preparing sales tax returns, payroll quarterly returns, form W-2?s and 1099?s for clients.
Job Requirements
As our Staff Accountant, you must have an Associate?s degree in Accounting and/or three years of relevant public accounting experience, including tax. Candidates should also possess the motivation and skills to work independently.
