This position is responsible for Sarbanes-Oxley Act Section 404 (�SOX�) company-wide compliance. Job Duties SOX company-wide compliance documentation, walk-throughs, testing and assessment (75%); special projects (25%). Internal Control Considerations: Support the Accounting Manager-SOX to ensure appropriate accounting policies and procedures are employed and all necessary internal financial and disclosure controls are properly designed, documented and functioning as designed; Accountant profile for Oracle GL module; inquiry-only profile for Oracle AP and AR modules. Job Qualifications: *Technical knowledge of accounting procedures and solid understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), strong analytical and problem solving skills, experience using Accounting software, in particular Oracle, preferred, and Excel skills in creating and manipulating spreadsheets. *Demonstrated knowledge of compliant internal control structures. *Knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley Act, related guidance, and general auditing standards. *Strong understanding of internal controls, knowledge of COSO and COBIT preferred. *Attention to detail and ability to learn quickly. *Ability to keep confidential information secure, and to work with minimal supervision. *Demonstrated ability to plan, prioritize and complete projects within deadlines. *Demonstrated strong analytical and problem-solving skills. *Strong team player with demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills and positive, professional attitude. *Strong organizational and time management skills. Dependable with commitment to meeting Accounting deadlines. Willingness to work additional hours as needed to meet deadlines. Willingness to take ownership of tasks and projects and to work with a limited amount of oversight. A strong desire to succeed is expected. Five years of progressively responsible general ledger accounting, external audit and/or internal audit experience. Minimum of 1 year of external audit experience with ability to demonstrate understanding of internal control concepts preferred. Experience applicable to a CPA license may substitute. CPA Preferred.
