Sales Business Development Manager Job Opening in New York, New york - We seek a Business Development Manager to focus on direct-end user sales and large scale clients. The ideal candidate will be challenged to secure and win business with a key focus on maximizing revenue as well as yield for your customer portfolio. You will demonstrate experience in establishing relationships with internal customers with the ability to transform these relationships into revenue opportunities. You must be able to conduct a consultative sales approach while surfacing what the client needs as opposed to relying on a pricing sheet. You'll prefer data-driven decisions to gut instinct. You should be driven to win and exceed your goals which will be aggressive. We are looking for a business development manager that can jump in and make an immediate impact.
Responsibilities
Manage all aspects of the sales process including prospecting for new business, determining needs, and proposing compelling recommendations
Close enterprise-level engagements and meet or exceed sales goals
Drive the sales cycle down to sales closing
Develop and maintain strong brand relationships
Develop business offerings with marketing and development teams based on products
Partially provide after-sale account management
Provide the executive, product, and account management teams with feedback
Define a consistent sales strategy that will sustain exponential growth
Help with marketing ideas and materials
Collaborate with and assist other sales people as needed
Manage a pipeline of sales opportunities in collaboration with partners.
Demonstrate effective follow up for all areas of the sales cycle
Experience managing personal quotas and accurately forecast weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual revenue
Provide consistent communications and updates to field activities, issues and account obstacles
Demonstrated ability to offer unique perspectives on business issues, analyze data and information, and create customized solutions for customers
Demonstrated ability to tailor sales messages to resonate with different types of customers
Demonstrated ability to mobilize customer stakeholders to advocate /champion for our product within their organization
Highly developed negotiation, communication, organizational and influencing skills at senior levels, both internally and externally
Required Qualifications
Undergraduate degree required
5-7 years experience in business development sales at a fast-growing technology/software company
Strategic selling, account management, contract negotiation and business planning skills developed at a senior level in a competitive sales environment
Strong commercial orientation and high level of business acumen
Excellent organizational, communication (email and phone) and presentation skills
Results oriented, accountable, strong work ethic, strong team player
A self-starter spirit willing to operate both strategically and tactically
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and can juggle multi-tasks with an eye on achieving the most critical ones first.
Comfortable with prospecting
Regular domestic and possible international travel to be expected
